The Teng Tools lifetime warranty

What the lifetime warranty covers, what it doesn't, and how to make a claim.

Teng Tools hand tools are backed by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. If a tool fails because of how it was made, we replace it — that's the whole policy.

What's covered

Hand tools across the range: sockets, wrenches, ratchets, screwdrivers, pliers, hex keys, storage and more. Ratchets and torque wrenches are serviceable instruments — repair kits and individual spare parts are available, and servicing with recalibration is available on request.

What's not covered

  • Normal wear and misuse.

  • Screwdriver bits and socket bits are consumables — they're guaranteed to meet dimensional standards, but wear from use isn't a defect.

  • Tools used as pry bars, hammers or with pipe extensions fall outside the warranty (and outside their design).

Torque wrenches and air tools

Torque wrenches conform to ISO 6789, are individually tested and supplied with a Declaration of Conformance. Teng Tools recommends yearly cleaning and calibration — servicing and recalibration are available on request. Air tool servicing and repair are quoted before any chargeable work starts.

Making a claim

Contact us via the contact page with your order number and a photo of the tool. We'll take it from there.
